A Vision Rooted in Nepali Warmth
Devalaya Griha was born from a simple conviction — that travellers deserve more than a room. They deserve a home. Our founders, raised in the tradition of Nepali hospitality where guests are considered divine (Atithi Devo Bhava), believed this ethos could be woven into every corner of a modern service apartment.
In 2025, the first Devalaya Griha apartment opened its doors in Lalitpur — a carefully restored residence blending handcrafted local artistry with quiet modern comfort. Word spread quietly. Corporate guests extended their stays. Families returned season after season.

In Sanskrit, Devalaya refers to a sacred dwelling — a space where the divine is present and the atmosphere is elevated beyond the ordinary.
Griha is the Sanskrit word for home in its truest sense: a place of belonging, safety, and warmth — not merely a structure.
